In the spirit of American Thanksgiving, we want to check in and see what you are thankful for. Is it the time you spend with family and friends? Access to healthy food? Sticking to a goal you set for yourself?
In what ways do you express gratitude for the accomplishments in your life? How do you give yourself credit? Whether it is a big goal that you achieved or the fact that you got out of bed this morning, giving yourself some praise is a stepping stone to further success.
1. Physically pat yourself on the back
2. Look in the mirror and congratulate yourself
3. Come up with a few words or a sentence that you can say out loud such as “Way to go, you did it!” or “Look at the progress you just made!”
4. Start a gratitude journal that you can use to write down the best part of the day. It can be as simple as going for a 10 minute walk in the snow, making a balanced meal for dinner or completing a task at work.
However you choose to do it, don’t forget to be thankful for your own achievements, no matter how big or small they are.
