Watermelon Pizza


When the summer hits and kids are outside playing all day long it can be hard to get them to stop and drink some water or have a snack. This is a fun and healthy snack idea that is so colourful your kids will stop mid activity for a taste. This watermelon pizza is also a great summer dessert that won’t bust your calorie budget. You can drizzle little honey or maple syrup on top for some extra sweetness if desired.


Serves: 6 if cut into 6 wedges/slices

Nutrition info per serving: 136 calories; 1 g fat; 29 g carb; 2 g fibre; 5 g protein (using plain 0% Greek yogurt)



  • 1 watermelon (won’t use whole watermelon at once)

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt

  • ½ cup strawberries, sliced

  • ½ cup raspberries

  • ½ cup cherries

  • ½ cup blueberries

  • ½ cup pomegranate seeds


  1. Using a sharp knife, cut off a slice of watermelon right down the middle, so you have a big round piece (similar to shape/size of a pizza) about 2-3 inches thick.

  2. Using a spatula, spread an even layer of yogurt around the watermelon leaving a bit of empty space at the top (where the watermelon rind or "pizza crust" is).

  3. Layer your fresh fruit on top as you please. You can add as little or as many toppings as you like!
