Take Back Control Of Your Mindset

We are just over a month into 2019 so it’s time to check in on any New Years Resolutions you created in January. If you have been able to maintain your plan or goal, way to go! If not, what was challenging for you? π»π‘Žπ‘£π‘’ π‘¦π‘œπ‘’ 𝑏𝑒𝑒𝑛 π‘’π‘šπ‘π‘œπ‘‘π‘¦π‘–π‘›π‘” π‘‘β„Žπ‘’ β€œπ‘Žπ‘™π‘™ π‘œπ‘Ÿ π‘›π‘œπ‘‘β„Žπ‘–π‘›π‘”β€ π‘šπ‘’π‘›π‘‘π‘Žπ‘™π‘–π‘‘π‘¦?

Although this thought process can feel good when things are going well, when we β€œslip up” or β€œget off track” from our plan (which we always will in this mindset), this often leads to completely abandoning all previous and future efforts. So instead of throwing in the towel, pick one thing that you can do 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 to proceed in the direction of your goal.

-Make yourself breakfast
-Go for a short walk outside
-Bring a snack to work to beat the 3pm slump
-Sit and take a few deep breaths at your desk.

Whatever it takes to take back an ounce of control will help you get one step closer to your initial goal.
