There Is No Shortcut To Weight Loss

Have you heard of the fad diets such as ketogenic, paleo, Whole30...the list goes on. Many people with a goal of weight loss choose to try these diets because they have seen others experience great success in a short period of time. Unfortunately, these success stories tend to be short lived as the weight loss is achieved through extremely restrictive eating that is hard to maintain for a long period of time. In addition to this, many of these recently sought-after meal plans are too new for researchers to determine the health consequences years later. (Think: the impact that a diet made up of 70% fat would have on heart health).

Before starting a new diet plan/strategy, ask yourself: am I going to be able to maintain this eating pattern for the rest of my life? Making small and ๐‘Ÿ๐‘’๐‘Ž๐‘™๐‘–๐‘ ๐‘ก๐‘–๐‘ changes to promote a calorie deficit is the most efficient way to lose weight AND keep it off.
