Dr. Trinacty is originally from Nova Scotia, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree at Saint Francis Xavier University in Antigonish. She completed her medical degree at Dalhousie University in 2013. Dr. Trinacty moved to Ottawa, Ontario for residency in Internal Medicine and subsequently her Endocrinology and Metabolism residency training, both at the Ottawa Hospital.
Dr. Trinacty was Chief Resident for the University of Ottawa Endocrinology and Metabolism program during her final year of training. She is also presently a lecturer at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Trinacty was the recipient of the Diabetes Canada Resident Award for Advocacy & Leadership, as well as the CANMEDs Health Advocate Award.
Dr. Trinacty has a specific interest in type 2 diabetes and management of patients with type 2 diabetes undergoing bariatric surgery.
